Braer ( United Kingdom): Ran aground off Shetland, loaded with 84,700 tonnes of crude oil.

Jan Heweliusz ( Poland): Sunk in the Baltic Sea. 55 dead and 9 rescued.

Jimmy ( Malta): Ran aground at Bandar Abbas, Iran. Refloated 20 February and returned to service.^[1]

Gold Bond Conveyor : Lost off Nova Scotia with all 33 crew during the 1993 Storm of the Century^[2].

USS Grayling ( United States Navy): Collided with Novomoskovsk ( Russian Navy).

20 October

OMI Charger ( United States): Onboard fire at Galveston, Texas following welding operation. Three crew killed, ship declared a constructive total loss.
